Hunting 2.0

Well, made our trip up to the lease this past weekend. Got up there late friday evening and got some shut eye. Woke up about 6:00 or so saturday morning and went out to the squirrel spot. Saw a few black squirrels but there is still too much green up in the trees. Couldn't get a shot off on any of them. My father shot a couple of rabbits and saw three hogs. I saw a small doe standing next to the feeder in our creek bottom stand. I tried to stand still so I wouldn't spook her and ruin that spot for opening weekend. It didn't work. She saw me and bolted. The only thing I shot all weekend was a huge unidentifiable snake. It was five and a half feet long, when it was alive its back was silver and bright red and its head was puffing up and its tail was shaking like a rattler. Once I shot it, the color changed to a dark maroon and tan color and its tail stopped shaking... lol. I would say it was a pretty impressive shot if I were to toot my own horn. It was a good ten yards away and running full speed across the road. For clarification, there are only four kinds of snakes I hate. Big snakes, small snakes, live snakes and dead snakes. All other snakes are cool in my book.

I have a picture of it that I will post in my gallery.
